Srushti Deshmukh has started preparations for the UPSC entrance in her third year in engineering. She wondered if engineering was an appropriate career path for her. When she realized that her desire was fulfilled and pursuing it, she started working in civil service. Her parents urged her to pursue civils, and find an employment that would benefit the general public. Her motivation never waned as she remained focused at her dream to become an IAS. Achieving UPSC requires more effort. When she was preparing in engineering She also had to work on different subjects for UPSC. Each day she allocated time for exam preparation. In only one and a half months she studied for engineering tests, but stayed clear of any social interaction. Her belief is that staying focused only on the work at hand is key to passing the exam. She aimed to pass this test on her first attempt and has put in lots of effort. Her habit was to go through newspapers to stay up-to-date with daily news.
